Exploring the sprawling continent of Promethea in Borderlands 3 introduces Vault Hunters to essential crew challenges that expand the backstory of galaxy exploration. Among these tasks, gathering the audio recordings left behind by Typhon DeLeon offers valuable experience points and uncovers secret loot caches. Locating all three journal entries scattered across the Meridian Outskirts ensures players can unlock the local Dead Drop for high-tier rewards.

First Typhon Log Near Fort Pissoff

The first audio log resides near the southern entrance of the zone close to the refugee sanctuary at Fort Pissoff. Head toward the makeshift Children of the Vault encampment situated along the lower platforms. Take the nearby lift upward, then look carefully along the edge past the shipping containers to find a small balcony overlooking the area.

Jump down onto the lower ledge where the small metal platform extends over the terrain. Interacting with the pedestal triggers Typhon DeLeon's narrative commentary regarding his early arrival on Promethea. Collecting this initial log marks your first step toward revealing the hidden cache.

Second Typhon Log in the Central Spillways

The second recording lies further out within the central Spillways portion of the Meridian Outskirts. As you travel north along the main open path, look for the towering structural remains of a destroyed overpass. Beneath these broken highway sections sits a hollowed-out concrete pillar standing amidst the desert ruins.

Drive or walk directly toward the base of this demolished pillar in the middle of the canyon. The pedestal sits nestled inside the open alcove at ground level. Interacting with it plays another recording detailing the corporate greed and hardships faced by the planet's residents.

Third Typhon Log Near the Metroplex Tunnel

To find the final audio log, travel toward the northernmost curve of the Spillways map. Follow the main roadway as it bends toward the entrance leading into the Meridian Metroplex. Right where the pathway branches off toward a garage area, scan the perimeter near the tunnel mouth.

You will spot the recording pedestal resting beside a pile of loot containers near the rock wall. Activating this log completes the set, prompting Patricia Tannis to triangulate the exact location of the Typhon Dead Drop. Finding all three logs grants bonus experience and Eridium currency.

How to Access the Meridian Outskirts Dead Drop

Once all three journals are secured, navigate back toward the refugee shelter area where citizens seek safety. Locate the main elevator inside the facility that travels between the upper and lower floor levels. Instead of riding inside the elevator cabin, press the call button and step back as it descends.

Carefully leap onto the roof of the elevator as it reaches the bottom position. Press the internal button from above to send the elevator rising while standing on top of the cabin. Riding the roof upward carries you directly into a hidden maintenance shaft where the locked loot chest resides.
